Hi, my name is Margaret Jelsma and I have lived in the Don Mills area for 25 years. I have had a passion my whole life to see potential in my home as well as those of my neighbours and friends. They have all encouraged me to start a business helping others see their own homes’ potential. Luckily, my friend Maria had the same idea, so we decided to team up and start a company called Eunomia Home Solutions. I used to work as a special needs assistant with the school board. Therefore I have learned to be compassionate and patient with helping others. I would love to help you de-clutter or stage your home. Maria Bettencourt
My name is Maria Bettencourt and I have lived in the Don Mills area for the past 11 years. During that time, I worked on contract as a Special Needs Assistant with the Toronto District School Board for five years.
The rest of the time, I was fortunate to be an at-home-mom and, with time to spare, I started helping friends and family in downsizing, staging and relocating. I experienced with my parents, who were selling our family home and moving to a condominium in Toronto, how stressful and overwhelming it all was, even with the help of their three adult children. Changes are never easy, but with a helping hand, some time, and love, all is possible.
My previous experience as an Accounts Manager in the Bank of Montreal’s property legal department gave me an insight into the problems and anxieties homeowners experienced when they had to relocate. I also gained skills in communicating, networking and time management. I decided to put my knowledge and experience into a business together with my friend Margaret, and I am very proud and excited at the opportunity to work together to make Eunomia Home Solutions a success and a business people can trust.
